SF Chronicle Compares Interracial Marriage to Gay “Marriage”

In my last post, I warned that people would compare the Louisiana case to gay “marriage.” It’s already happening. In the online edition of today’s San Francisco Chronicle, Yobie Benjamin writes:

“If you think gay couples are the only ones being denied the right to marry, think again. Racism and anti-miscegenation (the banning of interracial marriage) is alive and well in Louisiana… The case is clearly no different from the discrimination gay couples suffer when government refuses to grant them right to marry.”

Expect to hear more of this. But keep in mind that the comparison does not hold up biblically. The Bible celebrates the diversity of human races. It does not, however, celebrate homosexual behavior. In fact, it emphatically condemns it (Lev 18:22; Rom 1:26-27; 1 Cor 6:9; 1 Timothy 1:10).

I knew this was coming. It almost makes me wonder if the judge did this on purpose knowing that it would spur on the debate about homosexual marriage. I read his reasoning and it seemed insincere and scripted.

I searched on Fox News to get a perspective on what conservatives are saying about this interracial marriage flap.
    Nothing!!
One article on the subject taken from the associated press…with no viewer comments allowed
Compare that to the pages and pages of articles and thousands of comments on a Fox News search of “Obama, Nobel Prize”
Seems like the conservatives are keeping a low profile on this one…and keeping their readers from making comments on it that might reveal their “racial opinions” on this.
I guess Fox is hoping this blows away quickly before some of their readers start throwing their support to the justice of the Peace.
