McLaren, Homosexuality, and the New Testament

I am back home in the Bayou State for the 61st Annual Meeting of the Evangelical Theological Society. The meeting is in New Orleans this year, and the theme is “Personal & Social Ethics.” I will be delivering a paper on homosexuality. Here’s the title:

“Why Evangelicals Should Ignore Brian McLaren: How the New Testament Requires Evangelicals to Render a Judgment on the Moral Status of Homosexuality”

For all of you in New Orleans this week, I’d love to see you there. Here’s the place and time of my presentation:

J. W. Marriott Hotel
614 Canal Street
New Orleans, LA 70130

4:30-5:10pm, Thursday, November 19
St. Jerome Room (3rd floor)

Denny, are you going to post the paper sometime?

At this point I really believe Brian McLaren has completely discredited himself with both evangelicals and mainline believers. If for no other reason than about 7 years ago he asked for a 7 year moratorium on talking about homosexuality. Well the time is up, “what say ye brother McLaren?”

I am hopeful for the wisdom you will present in this paper.
