This post is just for fun, but it is true. Two eight-year old twins have invented Wedgie-Proof Underwear, and they have been peddling their wares at the 2007 Invention Convention in Ohio. Their brief fame earned them a spot on the Ellen Degeneres Show, but what follows is their interview on Fox News.

It’s a rare thing to see something so ugly that you take time to write a blog post about it. But this dog is so ugly that he looks like he fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down. The Associated Press reports that the dog’s name is Elwood, and he has just received $1,000 for winning the title of ugliest dog. I think he won that one going away.

I use Google Maps all the time. Not only do I use it when I want to look at satellite photos of the roof of my house, I also use it when I need directions. If I don’t know where I’m going, Google does. I can just type in the destination address, and presto. A map appears with detailed directions from my front door to wherever it is that I am going.

I am constantly coming across humorous items on the internet, some of which I post here from time to time. There have been times, however, when I have refrained from posting something humorous because I thought that it would be inappropriate in the midst of some of the more serious topics that I address in any given week. I have decided, therefore, to start a weekly series called “Saturday Snickers.” (What can I say? I like alliteration.) My aim is to save up all the funny internet stuff and to post all the week’s humorous items on Saturdays. I hope to have something comical posted each week. Anywho, we’ll see…
