The Courier-Journal is reporting that Louisville’s Planned Parenthood moved to a new office in December. Planned Parenthood has been in Louisville for a long time, but its Louisville office did not offer abortions. That all changed this week. According to the report: Planned Parenthood has begun offering abortions for the first time in Kentucky at a new health center it opened last month on South Seventh Street in downtown Louisville. Operating as Planned Parenthood of Indiana and Kentucky, or PPINK, the group on Jan. 21 began offering surgical and non-surgical abortion services at the health center, which replaced its former Louisville clinic on South Second Street… The move to provide abortions is…

A younger generation will rightly sit in judgment on ours
Your must-read piece on the anniversary of Roe v. Wade is from Frederica Mathewes-Greene. It is stunning, tragic, and wonderful. I give you just the conclusion here, but you must read the whole thing. She writes: The pro-life cause is perennially unpopular, and pro-lifers get used to being misrepresented and wrongly accused. There are only a limited number of people who are going to be brave enough to stand up on the side of an unpopular cause. But sometimes a cause is so urgent, is so dramatically clear, that it’s worth it. What cause could be more outrageous than violence — fatal violence — against the most helpless members of…

Leader Nancy Pelosi is not morally serious
Melinda Henneberger published an interview with Leader Nancy Pelosi two days ago in which Henneberger actually presses Pelosi about funding for Planned Parenthood. In response, Pelosi committs a number of howlers. 1. Pelosi indicates that she has never taken the time to actually watch the undercover videos from the Center for Medical Progress (see above). I’m sorry. But if you haven’t taken the time to watch the videos by now, you have forfeited your right to criticize them. 2. Pelosi also claims that the videos were “doctored” (see above). When Henneberger presents Pelosi with evidence that the integrity of the videos have been verified by Planned Parenthood’s own investigators, Pelosi…

When transgenderism hurts children
Many people treat gender identity conflicts and sexual orientation as if they are the same. If a sexual orientation is something you are born with and is thus immutable (a claim I would contest as a Christian), then gender identity must work the same way. It’s something you’re born with and can’t be changed. If therefore a child embraces a gender identity at odds with his/her biological sex, then it would be harmful and wrong to try and change that gender identity to align with the child’s biological sex. It would be harmful and wrong in the same way that trying to change sexual orientation is harmful and wrong. Because…

A new phase of transgender revolution reaches New York
The Wall Street Journal reports that “New York City’s Human Rights Commission is establishing what advocates called some of the most powerful guidelines in the nation on gender-identity discrimination.” The guidelines define what the city means by gender “discrimination,” which can lead to fines as much as $250,000. The guidelines apply to many businesses, landlords, and employers. Among other things, the guidelines stipulate that… Individuals must use the transgender person’s pronoun of choice. Gyms cannot tell clients which locker room to use. It must be left to the discretion of the patron. Objections from other patrons about bathroom/locker room use are not lawful reasons to deny access. Businesses/employers cannot enforce…

Are liberals ready to live with the transgender revolution they’ve unleashed?
Carl Trueman writes about a 52-year old transgender man who is now identifying as transaged as well. Not only is Stefonknee Wolscht no longer identifying as a male of the species. He is also claiming to be a 6-year old. This is not a joke. This 52-year old man really claims that he is now a 6-year old little girl. Thus he is both transgender and transaged. The man’s picture looks like a gag from The Onion, but it’s not. It’s for real. Many transgender advocates have been complaining that this particular transgender person is trivializing the quest for transgender rights. And it is this complaint that Carl Trueman responds…

Planned Parenthood doctor admits to felony
In the most recent Planned Parenthood video, a Planned Parenthood doctor admits to committing a federal felony in her abortion practice. She describes performing partial birth abortions in an effort to prevent damage to the baby body parts that they intend to sell. Watch above. As you watch, keep in mind the federal laws in question:

Boycotting gay weddings? A distorted take on an important book
Albert Mohler appeared on the front page of The Louisville Courier Journal yesterday next to the headline “Mohler: Christians should boycott gay weddings.” The story was later picked up by USA Today which ran a similar headline Baptist leader: Christians should boycott gay weddings. Since then, it has been featured in news outlets across the country. It turns out that the report is about Mohler’s new book We Cannot Be Silent: Speaking Truth to a Culture Redefining Sex, Marriage, and the Very Meaning of Right and Wrong. This book tells the story of our particular moment in American life in the aftermath of the sexual revolution. And yet if all…

ESPN’s “30 for 30” on President Bush’s “First Pitch”
Here’s the description from ESPN: On the night of Oct. 30, 2001, President George W. Bush stepped onto the mound at Yankee Stadium to throw out the first pitch at Game 3 of the World Series, just six weeks after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. With New York City and the entire country still trying to heal, the ceremonial first pitch that night meant more than “play ball.” ESPN Films’ new 30 for 30 Short “First Pitch” looks at how important that famous pitch was to the nation, and how baseball became a part of the recovery after 9/11. The 23-minute film, directed by two-time Academy Award-winning director Angus Wall…

A timeline of the 9/11 attacks
In 2011, The History Channel produced a 5-minute timeline video for the tenth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. Watch above. I will never forget that day.
