I’d like to see somebody address the kind of racism that’s really taking over America right now, and that’s black on white. It’s a clear and present danger that nobody seems to recognize because they’re convinced that it’s still the other kind of racism that’s the real problem today. White against black racism has been a real evil in America in the past, but at this point it’s not what’s really spreading and tearing down our country—it’s not the main evil that needs to be addressed.

This book is a very honest look at racism from several perspectives. Far from being a product of “white guilt,” it calls racism what it is, a repudiation of the gospel. Read it; I don’t think that you’ll be disappointed.

YankeeGospelGirl I disagree with you to a certain degree. It’s not an “either or”, it’s a “both and”. There are members of both groups that get what Piper is talking about, and there are members of both groups that don’t. There is, right now, active racism on both sides of the issue and each side is as guilty as the other.

Hug an “other” for whomever is an other to you.
