    She’s wiggin out!

I saw this on 22words and found it so hilarious that I had to pass it on. The subject is a woman named Julie waking up from her anesthesia after having her wisdom teeth removed. Her husband Cameron decided to film the whole event for posterity…and out enjoyment. Thanks, Cameron! We appreciate it!

    We Need a Fair Prayer

Years ago, there was a radio DJ in Little Rock, Arkansas named Craig O’Neal who used to do some of the funniest on-air prank calls that I’ve ever heard. O’Neal was an Arkansas Razorback fan, so he would often prank call coaches from opposing teams in advance of a Saturday game. When Arkansas entered the SEC and was preparing to play Alabama for the first time, O’Neal was able to get one of the Alabama assistant coaches on the line. O’Neal pretended to be the preacher who would be offering the invocation at the game. It’s a classic. Listen below. For those of you who were wondering, the answer is…

One More Reason to Pull for LSU

Since 1984, the LSU-Alabama rivalry has served as a predictor of the Presidential election. For the last 28 years, whenever Alabama wins, the Democratic candidate wins. Whenever LSU wins, the Republican candidate wins. If that doesn’t make you an LSU fan, nothing will. It’s your patriotic duty to root against Bama! Geaux, Tigers!

    On third party candidates

The Simpsons provided some wry political commentary in the weeks before the 1996 presidential election. Bob Dole was challenging Bill Clinton for the office, and Ross Perot was running as a third party candidate. In the episode excerpted above, Homer discovers that Dole and Clinton are really aliens in disguise and that he needs to expose them before one of them gets elected president. The story lampooned the popular notion that voting for a third party candidate meant that you were throwing your vote away. I disagree with the premise of this. I do believe that voting for a third party candidate is tantamount to voting against the major party…

Jim Caviezel Sings Chicago Song as Christopher Walken

I don’t know what it is, but Christopher Walken cracks me up. It is for that reason that Christopher-Walken impersonations crack me up as well. In the video above, Jim Caviezel is actually backstage with the band Chicago and “sings” an old hit of theirs using his Christopher Walken voice. It’s pretty rich. File this one under “total frivolity.” (HT: Josh Philpot)

Did you hear what happened in San Diego last night?

Last night, there was a mishap at San Diego’s 4th of July fireworks show. Through some really bad malfunction, all the explosions went off at once. What was supposed to be an 18 minute firework show set to music was reduced to 15 seconds of pyrotechnic pandemonium. In the video above, you can hear when spectators begin to realize what happened, and a little kid says “Aww!” Classic.
