This is a very sad detriment to the faith and makes me weep at how distorted we have become in our understanding of God’s Word that “tolerance” is much more important than truth being lived out.

What kills me is the ignorance of people with the he and she thing. No matter how she feels she is still she. What if I wake up one morning I feel like I was born into the wrong species. Can I declare myself a walrus? We talk about Biblical Truths not holding and sway but not even science and reason holds truth anymore too. Have we been completely given over to the vices of our own minds. I not big about saying this is the last days but my opinion is changing very quickly.

I read the article on Religion News.com this morning. What surprised me the most was her statement in which she sensed the bigger concern from the administration was not their theological convictions, but those of the churches, alumni etc.

“I did not get a sense directly from the individuals with whom I was speaking that they had a theological problem with transgender identity,” Ackley said. “I did get the message that it has to do with their concern that other people, such as donors, parents and churches connected to the university will have problems not understanding transgender identity.”

If this is true then there is a bigger concern here than just what is going on in Heather Clements’ life. It is true, generally speaking, that theological liberalism flows from academia to the pulpits and then to the pews. In the future the administrative heads of some institutions will not hesitate to dismiss a faculty member who holds to biblical convictions (and has been found out) because they will lose support from churches, alumni, etc.
