The perfect palindrome is not “Madam, I’m Adam” or “Poor Dan is in a droop.” It’s “41-14.” Why 41-14? Because that is the final score of LSU’s shellacking of Notre Dame in the Sugar Bowl. Sweet!
I don’t think Notre Dame belonged in that game. It would have been much better to see LSU beat the pseudo-dynastic USC in the Rose Bowl. But the storied Notre Dame program gets preferential treatment in NCAA football, so we stomped the Irish instead.

Yep, ND had no business in that game. As the crowd chanted: OVER-RATED. I’m sure ND will be in another BCS bowl next year so they can be handed their 10th straight bowl loss. Ah the politics.
SEC, SEC, SEC, SEC

LSU can only play in the Rose Bowl if it is the championship game. Otherwise, the Rose Bowl is for the Big 10 and Pac 10. The SEC gets the Sugar Bowl, Big 12 the Fiesta Bowl etc. LSU not being in the Rose Bowl has nothing to do with Notre Dame. Imagine how less meaningful a win would be if it hadn’t been in New Orleans. I don’t think ND should have been in the Sugar Bowl, but only because I didn’t think it should be in any BCS game, and not because LSU should have been at a different bowl.
