Brian McLaren will be preaching in Louisville this weekend in Saints Hall at Saint Matthews Episcopal Church. The event will be held at 7pm, Sunday, May 23, and the address for the church is 330 North Hubbards Lane. You can download a flyer with all the details here. The flyer indicates that he will be talking about his new book “A New Kind of Christianity.” Anybody want to go?

Are you kidding? Listen to heresy the night of the Lost finale?!?
Denny Burk
Oh, I already thought of that. McLaren is at 7pm. “Lost” starts at 9pm.
Dave
Yeah, but I think there is some pre-game LOST stuff that starts at 7.

I’m totally going. I bet my dad would love to go too.

Heard him in Minneapolis about 6 weeks ago. Read the book, it better. ๐

Dean Burk,
I’ll be there! I listened to him when he spoke at Highland Baptist Church about a year ago. It was appalling. It’s sad that heresy is so appealing.

So, Denny, you can listen to “Lost” at 7 and at 9… nice.

so why in the world are you going again? so you can blog about how bad it is? Even though you know ahead essential what he’s going to say?
you guys are the ones giving the rest of us bad names…i disagree with mclaren as much as the next guy, but you guys are sad
and Dr. Burk, why would you go? You eviscerated him at the forum a couple weeks ago, so you know what the talk’s gonna be about…whats the point?
Mark
LOL @ D. J. Williams’ first post.
Mark
You guys down in Louisville are so blessed to have such a speaker come to town…only if I could pony up a two-way flight ticket…
Mark
Oh, btw, I was being sarcastic above if you didn’t notice.
