Maranatha

The Telegraph in London reports that an artist in Great Britain killed herself after aborting her twins when she was eight weeks pregnant. Her suicide note read as follows:

“I should never have had an abortion. I see now I would have been a good mum. . . I told everyone I didn’t want to do it, even at the hospital. I was frightened, now it is too late. I died when my babies died. I want to be with my babies: they need me, no-one else does.”

Maranatha.

What a sad story… It is too bad we won’t see this story in our liberal media. Most people do not even realize the emotional consequences of an abortion. They are told, ‘its just tissue.’ What a damning lie.

    Matt,

Sorry about that comment earlier. I got a chance to look at your blog and for the most part you are a man after my heart! God bless you brother

    Brett,

No problem. If most of my friends read your post they would of laughed because they always call me liberal. Not because I am actually liberal, but because I am more liberal than them. I go to Southern Seminary so anyone who is the least bit moderate is considered ‘liberal.’ I think all believers should be independents at heart.

Abortion is a terrible, sad issue. My view is merely that people should be more educated before making the decision. I am in favor of making all women have to see an ultrasound before getting an abortion. This shows them that you are not getting rid of extra tissue, but that you are getting rid of a growing baby.

We all have to remember that abortion is a bottom up issue. If we want to turn abortion around it isn’t going to start with getting the right judges. It starts with the common people and works its way up. If most of the American people were pro-life, politicians would be as well!

The pre-abortion “counseling” these women receive is a joke. No matter what side of the issue you take, most women are not properly enabled to consider the possible longterm consequences of their actions. Consequently, there is a crisis in the mental health field related to women suffering with regret. It’s effects are comparable to PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder).

Thanks for that, Rafe. I do think that many women have been victimized by pro-abortion propaganda that encourages them to ignore their consciences until it’s too late.

It affects much more than the women themselves—marriages, children, employers, etc.,… Many of these women are very disturbed and traumatized for the rest of their lives.

Oh how our world is fallen and in need of scripture and the knowledge and love of Jesus Christ. I’m surprised this was actually covered in the media. Thank you Denny, I will be praying for this young woman’s family and the end to such a barbaric and life-destroying practice.
