I disagree with the assessment that Dr. Homer’s plan doesn’t discourage readers (his own, not Dr. Burk’s). I don’t think readers looking where to start will do well to try 10 chapters per day. I feel comfortable reading the bible and did fractionally well reading 7. Then again, I didn’t see how the full plan laid out, so maybe I’m missing something.
Regardless of plans, though, I agree wholeheartedly about your reasoning for reading through the bible.
