Patton had a high pitched voice, but it was just not possible for Hollywood to show that aspect of him in a movie. In no way did it make him less of a general, but it simply did not fit the stereotypes, so they simply changed it to make it conform.

He doesn’t sound much like Lincoln. (I know what Lincoln is *supposed* to sound like from watching Bill and Ted.)
