Over the weekend, I saw the viral video featuring a homosexual activist berating Christian teenagers at a journalism convention. The activist in question is Dan Savage, a columnist and a figure I have written about on this blog before. I won’t embed the video here because it is too foul. If you are so inclined, you can watch it here. In the video, Savage calls the Bible “Bullsh–” and accuses Christians of hypocrisy for believing what it says about homosexuality while ignoring what it says about shellfish, slavery, adultery, etc. In the middle of his tirade, the video also shows about a hundred Christian students walking out of his speech.…

Look out Dropbox. Google Drive is here!
Google Drive is trying to give Dropbox a run for its money. It has many of the same features as Dropbox, but the free account in Google Drive gives you more than twice the space (5 GB) than Dropbox. Check it out above. (HT: @MrMedina)

Michael Gerson Gets the Measure of the Man
I’ve been frustrated reading obituaries about Chuck Colson that seem to be stuck in the 70’s—as if Chuck Colson’s whole life was lived between the years 1968-1974. It has been a colossal fail on the part of mainstream reporters. And then Michael Gerson comes in for the save. Thanks be to God for Michael Gerson’s tender, poignant reflections that really do get the measure of the man. Gerson writes:

Nixon’s “Dirty Tricks Man” No More
The Washington Post has a headline remembering Chuck Colson as “Nixon’s dirty tricks man,” but that is not how Colson died. Nor is it how he will be remembered. Nor is it how he is now in the presence of Christ. Nor is it worthy to be compared to the glory that is to be revealed in brother Colson in the resurrection. We never got over your testimony, Mr. Colson. Rest in peace, brother. Revelation 12:11 “And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even to death.”

Pray for Chuck Colson who “will soon be home with the Lord.”
Jim Liske, CEO of Prison Fellowship Ministries, released an update on Chuck Colson this morning. Colson and family need our prayers: Dear Friends: It is with a heavy, but hopeful heart that I share with you that it appears our friend, brother, and founder will soon be home with the Lord. Chuck’s condition took a decided turn yesterday, and the doctors advised Patty and the family to gather by his bedside. As you know, Chuck underwent surgery more than two weeks ago to remove a pool of clotted blood on the surface of his brain. And while we had seen some hopeful signs for Chuck’s recovery—including his ability to talk…

For those doubting the digital revolution…
It’s should be no news to anyone at this point that print media are on the decline. But for those who are still doubting the potency of the digital revolution, please note the slate of Pulitzer Prize winners that was just announced this afternoon. David Wood of The Huffington Post won for national reporting, and Matt Wuerker of Politico won for editorial cartooning. These are the first Pulitzer’s for Politico and The Huffington Post.

Why do couples live together before marriage?
There was a fascinating article in The New York Times over the weekend titled “The Downside of Cohabiting before Marriage.” It shows that—contrary to popular belief—living together before marriage does not produce better or more stable marriages. In fact the divorce rate is higher among those who cohabit before marriage than those who do not. The reason for this is due in part to the different agendas that men and women have for cohabiting. Here’s an excerpt: Couples bypass talking about why they want to live together and what it will mean. When researchers ask cohabitors these questions, partners often have different, unspoken — even unconscious — agendas. Women are…

I really enjoyed Bubba Watson’s interview on “Morning Joe.” The guy has never bought a suit.

Did Jesus experience “doubt” and “fear”?
In his remarks this morning at the White House Easter Prayer Breakfast, President Obama reflected on Jesus’ suffering and said that Jesus experienced “doubt” and “fear” in the same way that we do. Of course the Bible does teach that Jesus was tempted in every way that we are and that He is therefore able to sympathize with us (Heb. 4:15). But does that mean that He himself doubted God and feared death? Here is the relevant excerpt from the transcript of the President’s remarks:
