This is one of the most fascinating bits of Americana I’ve ever seen. It’s a Bluegrass band covering Metallica’s 1991 classic “Enter Sandman.” Don’t that beat all?

LOL Excellent! I love this! Very creative. For some reason I have this mental image of Beavis and Butthead doing their headbanging motions to this.

“Honeywagon” is another musically talented bluegrass band that seems to predominantly cover non-bluegrass pop songs. They have an album of Michael Jackson covers and one devoted to Blink-182.
Here’s their version of Green Day’s “When I Come Around”:

Very well done . I always knew this song would make a great bluegrass song . Ok I was kidding . Pretty cool interpretation . So Denny ,does this reveal you were a head banger back in the day ? Enquiring minds want to know .

We’re not worthy!

The guy on the guitar sounds a lot like James Taylor actually.

Denny probably pulls out the old ‘Storm the Gates of Hell’ album and rocks out to DH in his car…. π

Love it! And no, I was never a “head-banger” back in the day.

Megadeth and Iron Maiden are on tour together right now. This would be a great opener for them!

Jazz is more American than bluegrass. And at least one jazz band I can think of (ahem) has been doing Metallica tunes for years. There’s one on our new album. Where’s my blog post, Denny? π
