The best play of the 2013 season happened with Nebraska’s Hail Mary win over Northwestern yesterday. With four seconds left in the game and Nebraska trailing by three points, Nebraska tosses-up a 56-yard pass into the endzone. Somehow, a receiver in red came down with it in the endzone with no time left on the clock. This play almost never works, but it is sweet when it does! Watch above. (HT: Justin Taylor)
Postscript: Can someone explain to me why Bo Pelini looks disappointed?

Answer: Bo is getting some heat, and having to win by luck is pretty un-compelling.

That’s what I was thinking, but he still needs to take what he can get!

He probably didn’t think it was a TD. It was all probably due to some of that bluegrass miracle LSU luck Pelini brought with him to the cornfields.

Nothing beats that play at Kentucky. I’ll never forget that one. They had already dumped the water cooler in the Kentucky coach, and then LSU beat them with the Hail Mary. It was great!

Great game to watch, but I loved watching Michigan State mop the floor with Michigan. Held them to -48 rushing yards. Beautiful example of a stiffling defense.
