America at War with Iran?

The Agence France-Presse reports that Iranian Revolutionary Guard forces have crossed the border into Iraq:

Iranian Revolutionary Guard forces have been spotted by British troops crossing the border into southern Iraq, The Sun tabloid reported on Tuesday.

Britain’s defence ministry would not confirm or deny the report, with a spokesman declining to comment on “intelligence matters”.

An unidentified intelligence source told the tabloid: “It is an extremely alarming development and raises the stakes considerably. In effect, it means we are in a full on war with Iran — but nobody has officially declared it.”

Obviously, if this report is true, it raises the stakes considerably for America’s involvement in Iraq. It raises the stakes even higher for Iran.

Pray for peace.

Sounds as if Iran may be trying to force our hand into a military encounter with them, which would be no great suprise. Or they may just be trying to test us. Whatever the case, there is no doubting to what the eventual intentionn of Iran’s leader is, at least as he has lead the world to believe, that he wants a showdown with the USA or in other words, a war. Yes…most definitely PRAY for peace.

“This makes the upcoming election even more crucial.”

absolutely. Electing another dimwit who can’t think things through before doing them would be suicide for all of us.

    Thanks for pointing this out.

Nobody wants things in Iraq to be the way they are, but most agreed that a war with Iraq was the final option on the table. I am sure Bush thought it through. I think that if Al G. or Hillary were in office we would be in the same position, except the world would hate Dems instead of Reps. The majority of our nations leaders believed that the war was the next necessary step. Look how many, conservative or liberal, voted to go to war.

The next person won’t do a better job, unless it happens to be Jesus. But, He is already the one working the plan.

    Paul
With out any doubt we need to be wise in our choices for any leader, in fact as scripture commands “if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God (the giving God) who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given to him” Is there one among us who has all the wisdom he needs? I think not, therefore can we not agree, that to one degree or another we all lack wisdom and therefore need to pray and ask God for wisdom. Your sarcastic comments Paul are really not necessary. We have a place called Washington DC that is full of people who do nothing but back bite and position themselves all for their own glory and the furtherment of themselves and their so called political party. Do we as Christians need to fall into that also?
