I think this is really clever and i believe Kevin DeYoung is a godly leader. But i think he might have titled it better; something like: “The weekly task of teaching ministry for those committed to an attractional gathering”, insofar as it doesn’t mention anything about life-on-life discipleship or personal relationship—which seem indispensable to the ministry of a pastor/shepherd—and because it assumes that
pastorsteachers should be employing a once-a-week, non-participatory meeting as their primary means of feeding their flock.Andrew Roycroft
I have a feeling that this might have originated with Alister Begg? This article linked here goes right back to 2007 which suggests it might be his rather than Kevin’s?
