Sex Tourism and Outrage

Be outraged and appalled when you read Michael Gerson‘s shocking article on sex tourism. According to the article, one quarter of worldwide sex tourists come from America. He writes:

‘One sexual predator, when interviewed by the FBI, described his experience with foreign child prostitutes this way: “It’s like being a star. They want to try my food. They want to see what clothes I wear. They want to watch my television.” Such “stars” are the global consumers of innocence, exercising a particularly brutal form of power over the poorest, most vulnerable children on Earth.’

That “sex tourism” is even a viable industry is an indictment on the banality of our hyper-sexualized culture. America is awash in abominations. As a community, we should be outraged and ashamed that we’ve exported degradation and foisted it onto the poorest and weakest in the world. Nothing is sacred anymore. No one is safe anymore. Not even children.

Maranatha.

This is somewhat related, but close to home for us: http://www.star-telegram.com/metro_news/story/207602.html

    Denny,

This is where I get confused. Why should we be outraged if (according to you) these “atrocities” are being allowed/sanctioned/caused by God?

One other thing…you said, “[America has]exported degradation and foisted it onto the poorest and weakest in the world.” Child prostitution and sex slavery has been happening in other countries for centuries, without any help or contribution from America. According to Gerson’s stats, even if Americans stopped being sex tourists, that still leaves 3/4 of the tourist population intact. In other words, don’t blame America for this problem. Blame sin or the depravity of mankind as a whole. Evil is evil and America neither invented it nor controls the market.

    mlm,

I get sick just thinking about this problem. But I agree that it is no use blaming America. It isn’t America that created the problem, it is the sinful heart of man. I don’t know what we as individuals can do about America’s share in this sin, other than walk in the Spirit and be the best witness we can to those around – in other words, cooperating with God as he changes our heart and others hearts. Utlimately it is a heart issue.

    I second Denny’s “Maranatha.”

Great job Denny, I agree, where is our shame? Where is outrage. Maranatha.

Can anyone say “Sodom & Gomorrah”? Unless the USA repents as a whole then we will soon be destroyed. Probably not by fire but economically. We must repent as did Nineveh or else…

    Maranatha!

I have something sinister to present which involves a British pimp named Michael Mountstephen who owns Spooks whorehouse in CDO and openly admits that he has political protection from various politicians in CDO Philippines.

This is an election period and while I am not affiliated with any candidate my hope is to enlighten the voting populace as to these disgusting issues taking place in Cagayan de Oro City. I find it disturbing that these sickening things occur in CDO and hope truly that the politicians of that locality will address these issues as they without doubt are important to the constituents of this city.

Please see link for the pimps confession regarding buying protection from politicians in Cagayan de Oro Philippines so that he may engage in human trafficking and white slavery with absolute impunity to Philippine law.

If this pimp is lying and slandering the good politicians of CDO then he should face charges for his actions.

    Hello Readers,

I have been reading on the Internet about this perverted foreign national Gordon Elletson and find it greatly disturbing. One very disturbing post was on Topix as it had the victims , Xavier Madlangbayan, own mother Margie Madlangbayan stating in no uncertain terms that this predator has caused her son a great amount of psychological distress as the victim now worries that the foreign predator , Gordon Elletson, will hit him again. I honestly hope that the victims grandfather Dr. Severino Madlangbayan will take time out of his political campaigning to bring his grandsons abuser to justice. I think he is doing a admiral thing in seeking a city council seat in Iligan City but I hope he also has not given up on bringing his grandsons abuser to justice.

Below is a cut and pasted posting written by the victims mother, Margie Madlangbayan of Iligan City Philippines:

    Pasted:

“PNP here in Iligan failed to deliver the subpoenas to our door for the three consecutive times they were supposed to.
this is what the Prosecutor’s office is using to re-open the case.there is no “due process of law.”
both my parents and i were present in the hearing last nov.20.and so was xavier.gordon was absent.his lawyer was there vying and fighting,as he is paid to do,but assistant prosecutor Sandra fought with her tooth and nail.we are still waiting for the resolution to arrive.i sent a text to Fiscal Macauyag, there is no resolution yet.
the judge looked at my kid and probably saw his own grand child, just a bigger version for doy is a big boy,he was even mistaken by gordon as being 12years old,but when the incident happened,he was just 7years old,and that was last year.
    he kept asking
“mommy,is Gordon going to be there?what if he hits me again?”
    i told him:
“Xavier,he will pay for what he did.He will never put his hands on you again, over my dead body.”
i know i haven’t posted much updated, thus the question why i have been so quiet… but trust me people,i haven’t forgotten what that man did to my son.i’m just being silent.watching.waiting.if the case doesn’t get reopened,do not assume it is over.all this is far from over.it has just begun”

E-mail spoofing is alive and well. It would be a waste of my time to tell you I did not make the above post. Black propaganda is still well. Once it goes up, regardless of true or false, it stays there. Alberto is another fictitious person.
