“…he made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death — even death on a cross!”

The magnitude of this single act defies description…that God would empty himself willingly on my behalf. And then that God became obedient to death: imagine, the Author of Life willingly giving his life for those whom he created!

O, Holy Night when God came near!

Thanks for reminding us of the incomprehensible God who became flesh and dwelt among us.

I thank Him that He does not require our pea-sized brains to comprehend this (will we ever comprehend Him??!!), but only to believe it.
