Holiday Doldrums?

Charlie Brown & LinusDoes anyone else need a pick-me-up after at the end of November? After viewing the annual spectacle known as “black Friday,” I know I do. I typically feel like Charlie Brown at this time of year. I need something more than crass commercialism to get me into the real spirit of Christmas.

I’ve found that there’s nothing quite like a rousing rendition of “O Holy Night” to renew one’s yuletide cheer. What follows is one of my favorite versions of this holiday classic, and I want to share it with you. Click here to listen to “O Holy Night.” If that doesn’t cure your holiday doldrums, I don’t know what will.

If you care to read the backstory on this song, here’s a couple of links:
“O Holy Update” – The Sneeze
“The Abominable ‘O Holy Night'” – Burnside Writers Collective

In the meantime, Merry Christmas! 🙂

There’s a great song which addresses your very concerns, Denny:

I Bought You A Plastic Star For Your Aluminum Tree, by Michael Franks.

    I highly suggest it.

Dude…this is painful. I wish there was a video to go with the audio. That would make it truly complete.
