He demanded evidence from the text for biblical arguments to stand. By all accounts he was a loving husband and father, a churchman, a strong supporter of missions, and honorable representative of Christ. He built the DTS NT faculty with the likes of Dan Wallace and Darrell Bock. He will not easily be replaced at that institution, and he will be missed by all.
