“Issues, Etc.” Radio Program Cancelled

My good friend Mason Beecroft is a pastor in the Lutheran Church Missouri Syndod, and he is trying to get the word out about a radio program called “Issues, Etc.” that was recently cancelled. In addition to its regular hosts, Mason tells me that Dr. Albert Mohler was a frequent guest. Mason writes:

“The finest Christian radio show in America has been cancelled. Issues, Etc. was a daily three-hour program that faithfully proclaimed Christ and Him crucified. Pr. Wilken was the host of the show. He has interviewed some of the best minds in Christendom. The show always attempted to articulate the biblical, evangelical, orthodox, and catholic faith of the historic Lutheran Church. Moreover, the show engaged leaders of other Christian traditions (Evangelical, Baptist, Roman Catholic, Presbyterian, etc.) to discuss cultural and social issues and explore our common faith in Christ. Finally, the show did an excellent job in examining the dubious teachings of many leaders in North American Christianity. At this point, no reason has been given by the LCMS for its cancellation. I will wait to comment as I cannot put a good construction on it right now. In order to register a complaint, then please call 1-888-843-5267 and ask for Communications.”

There’s a petition online if you are interested in supporting the program: http://www.petitiononline.com/Issues/petition.html.
